A new restaurant and craft brewery is set to open in New Orleans this fall, Nolafi.com has learned.
The brewery — Saint X — and a barbecue eatery called Devil Moon BBQ will share a kitchen in the Odeon South Market building. The businesses are the handiwork of Shannon Bingham, who also runs the kitchen at St. Roch Market food, his pop-ups Buttermilk and Emmylou’s BBQ.
While Saint X and Devil Moon BBQ plan for their brick-and-mortar debuts, on the same day as the New Orleans Saints’ next two home games, Devil Moon BBQ latter is hosting a set of pop-ups in the parking lot next to the property. “We are officially opening in the fall” says Bingham, “but we didn’t want to miss the opportunities to celebrate and introduce our barbecue with fans and the local community. Stay tuned for an unveiling soon!”
As for Brewery Saint X, you can expect freshly canned beer on the go as well as no fewer than 12 drafts and two casks to indulge in, according to the website.

The LSU Fighting Tigers made too many mistakes to overcome in their opening loss to the Florida State Seminoles, 24-23. The game, played before more than 80,000 fans at Caesars Super Dome in New Orleans, featured two marquee teams on the national scene.
First-year LSU coach Brian Kelly named Jayden Daniels the starter for quarterback just before kickoff on Sunday night. Miles Brennan, LSU’s starting quarterback just two years ago, will no longer play football from LSU’s athletic program.
Brennan’s decision brings his college career abruptly to an end after five years with the team.

Posting on social media, Brennan announced that he is “stepping away from football.”
“Over the last five years, I have given all of my body, heart, and soul to LSU football. Playing for LSU has been a dream come true. I will never forget the time I’ve spent and the memories I have made here,” he said in a statement.
Brennan took over as the head signal caller for the Fighting Tigers in 2020, one season after they won the National Championship with quarterback Joe Burrow at the helm.
