New Orleans Airport Ranked #1 For Customer Satisfaction

When you think of meeting the customer’s needs, Louis Armstrong New Orleans International airport should be one of the first places to come to mind.

The airport came in #1 in its category when it comes to customer satisfaction, according to a recent study by J.D. Power.

In the 2021 North America Airport Satisfaction Study was broken down by two categories: Mega airports and large airports.

In the mega airport section, Miami’s international airport was top of class. When it came to large airports, New Orleans was best. Louis Armstrong Airport improved its year-over-year finish by 10 spots, beating out rival airports like in Tampa and Dallas.

  14. St. Louis Lambert International Airport – 801
  15. Chicago Midway International Airport – 800
  16. Kansas City International Airport – 800
  17. William P. Hobby Airport – 794

New Orleans officials are over the moon with the new rankings, which put the city at the top for customer needs such as a mobile app that easy to use, cleaniness and food and beverage amenities.

“I am beyond ecstatic to see MSY take the top spot in the highly-coveted and well-respected J.D. Power Airport Satisfaction Study,” Michael Bagneris, chairman of the New Orleans Aviation Board, said in a news release. “For our airport to see such a vast improvement in rankings over the last three years is nothing short of incredible.”

Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport is the main airport in New Orleans. It officially opened to the public in November 2019, just before the pandemic.
