Popeyes Chicken has returned to the menu one of its most popular items: Cajun Rice. You can now find it in Popeyes in New Orleans. The popular side order will be sold for a limited time starting Tuesday, June 21, 2022.
Cajun Rice, affectionately called “Dirty Rice,” is back on the Popeyes menu in celebration of the company’s 50th year serving customers. Last week, Popeyes rolled out a weeklong 50 cents menu to commemorate the 50th anniversary of its business.
Now, with the limited-time return of Cajun Rice, Popeyes is upping the ante.
Cajun Rice on the Popeyes menu was discontinued one year ago as the eatery announced that it was responding to consumer feedback on the dish. At the time, Popeyes said that it would continue to look “for ways to improve” its menu.

Popeyes is not only an iconic eating spot in New Orleans, but around the nation.
When New Orleans’ food is mentioned on a national level, it somehow always reverts back to gumbo, which is the best around, although the city’s eateries certainly represent those dishes well, there’s so much more.
